JAMES W. ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL DUO TOO MUCH FOR WOODSON HIGH SCHOOL
12/20/24 - When teams prepare to play James W. Robinson High School (7-1), they certainly will focus on senior forward Georgia Simonsen and junior point guard Madison Coutimho. Simonsen is one of the most talented players in the area – she drives well, has good low post moves and dribble as well as any guard on her team. Coutinho is an energizer type point guard, always on the move, hounding and poking the ball on defense, and just being an overall pest to her opponents. Together they are a lethal combination. In tonight’s competitive game, Coutimho scored 11 points in the first 4 minutes of the game, and Robertson never looked back and won 49-41. Coutimho and Simonsen each ended up with 17 points. Emma Komaily ended up with 14 points for Woodson. James W. Robinson, whose only loss was to Langley High School 39-23, is now 7-1.
