STEWART LEADS ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL OVER BISHOP IRETON

1/15/26 – Morgan Stewart scored from all over the court and proved unstoppable, leading St. John's College High School to a 64-54 victory over Biship Ireton. Stewart finished with a game-high 29 points.

Stewart, a Florida State commit, set the tone early alongside teammate Sam Eller. Stewart scored nine points in the first quarter, while Eller added six as St. John's jumped out to a 13-point lead after the first quarter. 

Despite struggling from the outside, Biship Ireton battled back behind tough man-to-man defense. Freshman Nina McEldon sparked Bishop in the second quarter with four points and a dominant presence on the boards, showcasing why she is considered one of Virginia’s top freshman. St. John’s led by seven at halftime. 

Stewart opened the third quarter with a three-pointer to push the lead back to 10, but Bishop Ireton’s pressure defense kept the game close. Geornae Davis and Mackenzi Jackson carried the scoring load in the second half, contributing 13 points and six points, respectively, as Bishop Ireton cut the deficit to four on multiple occasions.

Bishop Ireton trailed by eight entering the forth quarter, but Stewart took control, scoring 10 points in the final period. Eller added two crucial driving baskets to help seal the win.

Eller finished with 10 points for St. John's, while Stevie Harley added 11. For Bishop Ireton, Davis led the way with 15 points, McEldon scored 12, and Jackson finished with 13.
