TOOLE AND CHANG LEAD OAKTON HIGH SCHOOL OVER HOLY CHILD SCHOOL

12/30/24 - A disciplined Oakton team put on a running and passing clinic in the last game of the 2024 Cassel’s Holiday Classic at Oakton High School and defeated Holy Child School 63-38. Sophie Toole (20 points) and Brooke Chang (18 points) were the high scorers for the Oakton Cougars. Although Holy Child, which started two freshman and three sophomores, played hard for the entire game, they were simply playing against a much more experienced and talented Oakton team. Freshman Charis Mershon (11 points) and sophomore Emery Dyer (10 points) were the high scorers for Holy Child. Holy Child’s Clara Wansley was named the Outstanding Player from her team and Sophie Toole was named the Outstanding Player from the Oakton team.
